History

The story of BOREALYS began in 2004. That year, Édouard Gatté left his management position following the loss of his father, a former sailor who disappeared at sea due to a design flaw in his boat's hull. He thus founded BOREALYS.
He then began creating nautical hulls combining robustness, aesthetics, and reliability, designed to last and protect.
For twenty years, he built the DNA of BOREALYS: with artisanal expertise, uncompromising technical standards, and a constant focus on quality.
In 2025, his son, Joseph Gatté, 32, took over. Today, with renewed energy, he is leading his father's company into a new era, focused on the future.
Under his leadership, BOREALYS remains true to its primary mission: ensuring the safety of its passengers. Today, BOREALYS continues to grow, driven by a family history, technical excellence, and a clear vision: to design cases that meet the needs of those who use them. With passion, with rigor, but above all, with heart.
